Plans to target Scottish Construction Sites with Monitored CCTV

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

The Scottish based CCTV Specialist Littlejohn Electrical are pleased to announce the launch of their new price tariff for their Temporary Construction CCTV system designed specifically for Construction Site & Vacant property Security. The Police monitored temporary CCTV system known as Portacams has been developed over the last 12 years and has been installed extensively on all types of building projects across Scotland.

The new pricing tariff coincides with a target milestone of protecting more Scottish Construction sites and Littlejohn Electrical are hoping it will make effective site security even more affordable & easier to access.

A Portacams System can now be installed for less than £190 per week and benefits from a fully inclusive service, consisting of, Police & Emergency Response to alarm sensor activations, 24/7 monitoring, audible alarm and client remote access.

Existing Littlejohn Electrical clients are currently receiving benefits and savings for taking the system and the scheme has been so popular, it has been decided to extend it to all new clients also.

Battery operated 3G/GPRS Cameras for Construction Security

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009
We have been looking into a battery operated 3G wireless CCTV solution for one construction client who wants to shut down the generator at night and we think we have found it.

The Remote Event 3G CCTV Camera system has batteries in each device and all talk back to a central battery operated point this in turn connects to the 3G mobile phone network which sends Alerts to a Central Monitoring Station.

This is designed for a smaller construction sites, where a construction security guard would cost around £1000 per week, CCTV Rental Costs should be around £150-£200 per week for a 4 camera system fully monitored by a CCTV Centre.

Reading through the spec sheets shows the camera system has a battery life of 2 years and with no wires, self install might be possible.

Fuel costs are on the rise next year so this could be another saving by only running a generator for 40 hours instead of 168 hours, this could equate to a saving of 75% of your total genny fuel bill, also greener by cutting down on carbon emissions.

Testing will begin over the Christmas period with integration into our Remote Alert Viewing Platform early next year.

Along with this will be battery back up heating for drying rooms (we did think of this too)
