The Rapid Deployable CCTV Trailer

Saturday, May 19th, 2012

CCTV Trailer is the only true BS 8418 compliant Remote Monitored CCTV security system on the market as a rapid deployable unit. It has four portable CCTV columns on the standard CCTV Trailer unit but can carry an additional four columns when required. The standard CCTV Trailer is designed to cover sites of up to 120 metres square giving 360 deg coverage from its infra red PTZ CCTV cameras in complete darkness.

The CCTV unit has full audio, detection and recording and as said previously has integrated IR lighting on its cameras, sufficient to capture images in pitch darkness which result in identification of a person. We can have all the Trailers 4 CCTV cameras deployed to their maximum capacity within one working day but the CCTV Trailer does not have to deploy all of its portable security columns to function and be up and running with one PTZ Camera within 60 minutes.

It was built with the security of civil engineering & small to medium construction projects in mind but its uses have multiplied tenfold since its initial inception, being used on construction and demolition sites to empty warehouses, factories and builders yards. This is a self contained system with no requirement from the Client other than a site to secure we take care of the rest.

Wind and Solar CCTV System

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

We had an enquiry last week from a Scottish Company about a Wind or Solar 3G CCTV system, something which we have done in the past with great success. The brief was,Wind or Solar powered, 3G internet connection, on site DVR for recording, security lighting, IP PTZ dome, audio challenge and PIR detectors alerting back to a Monitoring station.

The project which we did 4 years ago was 4 fixed IR cameras with PIR detectors alerting back to a powered cabin and out through the ADSL line back to a monitoring station using wind and solar CCTV to power the system, in Scotland we don’t get much sun so wind turbine had to be used, this project is a different beast altogether, but here at Portacams we like a challenge and are considered by some to be the experts when it comes to bespoke Remote CCTV solutions, hence the Solar 3G CCTV enquiry.

This will be something totally different which will change the way people think about securing Remote Areas, keep coming back to find out what we produce.

Do you have a bespoke security requirement using the latest CCTV technology but have no idea where to start, Portacams is the best way forward from the initial design through to completion, why not drop us an email and we will see if we can help.

Car Park CCTV Security in Scotland

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

car park security

Meercam Battery Powered CCTV has been used to secure a car park in Scotland, the secure area has no power or BT line and is very remote. It was need of something special to secure it, The Car Park owner found us on the net searching the term ” CCTV Scotland” and after going through the usual Scottish CCTV companies who say they can do it he found Portacams was the only CCTV company who could tick all the boxes.

The CCTV Rental was a big factor for the customer allowing him to secure the car park for a fixed monthly cost  rather than paying out a lump sum after the CCTV installation was complete.

The CCTV security system is Monitored by a NSI Gold Approved Monitoring Station which makes sure the CCTV Installation is Installed to the current British standards

If you have a remote site which needs some sort of remote security I would suggest looking at Portacams products we have secured all sorts of different types of sites from empty void properties to construction sites
